Click Add to account. You'll be prompted to authorize AI Workflow Builder to access your monday.com workspace. Review the permissions and click Authorize.
After installation, AI Workflow Builder appears in your monday.com app panel. Click to open it. You'll see a short onboarding walkthrough explaining how the app works — it only takes a minute.

AI Workflow Builder will automatically connect to your monday.com workspace using the authorization from step 2. No additional setup is needed.
From the AI Workflow Builder app, navigate to the Builder tab. You'll see a chat-style interface ready to receive your automation request.
Type your automation in plain English. Be as specific as you like. Examples:
The AI Workflow Builder chat builder — describe your automation in plain English.
AI Workflow Builder's setup wizard may ask you a few questions to resolve ambiguities — like which board to use, which column to watch, or which user to notify. Select from the provided options or type your answers.
AI Workflow Builder resolves missing details by asking targeted questions.
If your account has multiple workspaces or boards, you'll be prompted to select the source board (where the trigger fires) and any target board (for cross-board actions). Use the dropdowns that appear in the chat.
Before going live, click Test Run. AI Workflow Builder will execute the automation logic against a real item you specify, so you can verify it behaves exactly as expected.
Click Install Automation. AI Workflow Builder registers a webhook with monday.com and your automation is now live. From this point, it runs automatically — no AI involved at runtime.

Go to the Settings tab to see all your automations with their current status: Draft, Testing, Verified, Paused, or Disabled.
The Settings tab — manage all your automations in one place.
After an automation runs successfully for the first time, click Confirm Working to mark it as Verified. This helps you track which automations are fully validated.
Need to temporarily disable an automation without deleting it? Click Pause. The automation will stop executing but remain configured. Click Resume to re-enable it.
Open the Admin tab to see a full history of every automation run — including timestamp, automation name, status (Success / Failed / Skipped), and details about what happened.
The Logs tab — a full run history for every automation.
If an automation isn't working as expected, click Report an Issue from the automation's action menu. A support ticket will be created and our team will follow up.
